Postcard fro Georgia

Hi Georgia,

I have good news for you—we have issues on all of those topics! Issue 4 | Story of an Empire covers the history of Rome, while Issue 17 | An Age of Legends covers early Greece and Greek mythology. Issue 2 | A Pirate's Tale covers a bit of Chinese history (mostly focusing on pirates), but I’m sure we will return to China in the near future 🙂

Thanks for writing in, and I hope you enjoy the next issue of Honest History!

Postcard from Laura

Hi Laura,

I’m so happy to hear you want to be a history teacher when you grow up! Teaching history is so important, and it’s a subject that can often seem boring for kids. The more teachers we have who are passionate about history, the better!

Keep on learning, and I can’t wait to see how you impact the next generation of young historians.

Postcard from Rowan

Hi Rowan,

I also love the egg message trick! Like you and Everett, my sisters and I used to love pretending to be secret agents and collected all the spy gadgets when we were kids. I think it’s great that you and your brother want to be secret agents. Be sure to do your best in school and study hard for exams! Maybe one day I’ll receive a secret egg message from two real life spies in the future. Stay curious and happy reading!

Postcard from Gia

Hi Gia,

I’m so happy you've enjoyed reading Issue 7 | Into the Deep. I love that issue and am a big fan of our cover and feature illustrator, Cynthia Cliff (who also did the cover of Issue 3).

I really appreciate the suggestion of covering Bethany Hamilton. I love learning about Bethany and the incredible ways she has preserved through tough times. Bethany has been a source of inspiration for thousands of people around the world and is someone who will go down in history. Keep up the reading!

Young Historians! Do you have questions about our kids magazine? Is there a topic you want us to cover? Please send us a note (or drawing). It might appear on our next installment of We've Got Mail. And, as always, happy reading!
