Kids love them

These are much loved and hours are spent pouring over each magazine. Which is good because the price is quite high.

My only other complaint was in a recent issue there was an article about the statue of David, this was displayed in a full page, color print. Total nudity on display for my kids who range in age from 11 to 3. I felt this was distasteful and while I have no problem with nudity for some appropriate ages this was over the top and came with no warning so I could not screen it for the younger kids. This article could have been illustrated with a photo from a different angle, or cropped, or even just smaller so the nudity was less glaring.

Update: I was contacted by Honest History in response to my concern about the nudity. They were appreciative of the feedback and acted on it, editing future prints and the digital version to reflect the concern expressed. I respect and appreciate their willingness to listen to feedback and adjust accordingly.

Learning at bedtime

We're a homeschooling curious family (I haven't pulled the trigger yet) but I'm slowly trying to add learning routines into our lives. My girls (8, 6, 3.5) all look forward to reading a section of Honest History magazines before bed. They ask questions and are engaged in the material.

A good hope

I was hesitant on purchasing a subscription based magazine for our history lessons. I truly have loved the lessons I was able to plan with this. Teaching my children the facts of any and all countries have been fun and refreshing
