Five Reasons Why Honest History Matters
Kids deserve a responsible education about the past to create a positive impact on the future. Discover why Honest History matters and start your adventure today.

1. History Is Biased
We recognize that history is subjective. Viewpoints matter. The story will often change depending on who is telling it. However, there are facts about the past that can help kids interpret what really happened.
Our publications are anti- confirmation / omission / outcome / attribution / everything bias. We strive to create fact-based, well-researched content where multiple perspectives are explored and discussed—giving space to those that are often overlooked.

2. Kids Need Better Educational Resources
Let's be honest—history can be boring. Only 15% of students are performing at the national standards for social studies. We're on a mission to change that. Our award-winning magazine gets kids engaged and excited about the past so they can learn about important people, places and events that changed the world.

3. The Classroom Is Missing Important Stories
Did you know that the richest person in the world's history was African? Or that the world's largest pirate fleet was led by a Chinese woman?
Everyone and everything has a history and a story to be told. Our magazines share important, often-untold stories from around the globe so kids can better contextualize their history lessons.

4. Short Form Is The Best Form
Studies have shown that children retain information better and engage more meaningfully with shorter format, hands-on content than textbooks or lectures in the classroom.
Our magazines combine easy-to-understand stories with hands-on activities and DIYs that ensure kids will retain the information and be encouraged to apply it outside of the learning environment.

5. The Future Is At Stake
Kids are smart. They will also lead the world soon into new territory as adults. We encourage them to learn the facts and engage with parents and teachers to deepen their understanding of the past.
Learning from past mistakes and triumphs is critical for kids to be able to positively impact the future. We believe in sharing the facts about the past and not the conclusions. And when we say facts, we mean the good, bad, and ugly.
