We've Got Mail: Volume 29

It's our 29th installment of We've Got Mail! Brooke Knight, our Editor-in-Chief, is replying to all our readers' questions and suggestions. We always love hearing from young historians, so please keep sending us postcards!

If you want to see if we've already replied to your letter, make sure to check our blog. Here's one of our latest volumes of We've Got Mail to get you started.

Hi Crosby,

I’m so glad you are enjoying Honest History. We try to include animals in as many issues of the magazine as we can, and love the idea of having an entire issue dedicated to our furry friends. If you want to learn more about animals, be sure to check out our two podcasts, Unlock This! and Anytime Now, for more fun facts about amazing animals that made history (like parachuting beavers!).

Hi Piper,

Thanks so much for writing in! I love the idea of covering animals and veterinary medicine. As a big animal lover myself, I try to always incorporate information on animals in the topics we cover. Plus, illustrations of animals are just the best! Thanks again for writing in, and I hope you enjoy the next issue of Honest History.

Handwritten postcard from Onyx on yellow background

Hi Onyx,

That’s so cool that you’ve been to Neuschwanstein Castle and that your mom ran the Berlin Marathon! I hope you gave your mom a big hug after she finished the race, because marathons are very hard. I visited Neschwainstein Castle when I was a kid too, and it made a huge impact on me. That’s actually why we chose to cover King Ludwig II in our first issue: to inspire other young kids with his story. Thanks for choosing Honest History, and keep an eye out for our next exciting issue.

Hi Billie,

I’m so glad you are enjoying Honest History! We love creating books, magazines, and podcasts that inspire kids to learn more about the past so they can go out and make a positive future today!

You will be happy to know that we have an entire book that covers the history of food! History is Delicious is a great way to learn about foods from around the world. Just be sure not to read it on an empty stomach (it always makes me hungry)!

Young Historians! Do you have questions about our kids magazine? Is there a topic you want us to cover? Please send us a note (or drawing). It might appear on our next installment of We've Got Mail.
