Honest History Readers include a set of 9 printed volumes. The Readers align with the College, Career, and Civic Life (C3) Framework for Social Studies State Standards as well as the Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts & Literacy. As these standards are presented in grade bands, Honest History Readers are correlated to meet the benchmarks for each grade band over a three-year period, with each standard being hit many times in a variety of different ways over the three years. This allows for flexibility, differentiation, and accommodation, as well as mastering both literacy and historical thinking skills used year after year. Honest History Readers are also correlated to the Social Justice Standards as part of the Framework for Anti-Bias Education.
